RSC publication "Journal of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry" asked us to contribute an article on an upcoming special issue on peptide materials. How could we say no? We submitted "Amyloid scaffolds as alternative chlorosomes," which highlighted the incipient functionalities of just some of our peptide assemblies we've been studying for over 20 years.
Here, we discuss how amyloids can be designed to form .This review also established the foundation for Rolando's thesis.
The content of Rolando's review enticed the Royal Society of Chemistry's editors so much they asked us to create cover art for this special issue!
Check it out if you want to see our progress towards assembling an amyloid battery.
Nice work, Rolando!
